Pedro Silva Pereira is Vice-President of the European Parliament in charge of the portfolio “Participative democracy and citizens’ panels, including the European citizens’ initiative”, among others.

He is a full member of the Constitutional Affairs Commission, full member of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Commission and a substitute member of the International Trade Commission. He was recently appointed standing rapporteur for the Economic Partnership Agreement between the West Africa and the EU and AFCO rapporteur for the Implementation of the UK’s Withdrawal Agreement from the EU. Pedro Silva Pereira has been reappointed representative of the S&D Group in the UK Contact Group of the European Parliament.

He is currently serving his second mandate as Member of the European Parliament, having being re-elected in 2019.
