Jutta Steinruck has been a Member of the European Parlament since 2009 where she is the coordinator for the S&D group of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. Prior to joining the European Parliament she was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate Regional Assembly between 2006-09 and municipal councillor for Ludwigshafen for 1999-2009. She has been chair pf the German DGB trade union federation for the Vorder-und Südpfalz district in Rhineland-Palatinate from 2004 to 2011. Ms Steinruck obtained a BA in business economics at Mannheim Vocational Academy.
