Joaquín ALMUNIA
Former Vice-President of the Commission
Joaquín Almunia served as Vice President of the European Commission, European Commissioner for Competition (2010-2014), European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs (2004-2010). He was member of the Spanish Government (1982-1991) and member of the Parliament (1979-2004). Nowadays, he is the Chairman of the Board of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and Visiting Professor at the European Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science and at the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po.
