Javier ALVAREZ-GALVEZ
Javier Alvarez-Galvez holds a PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid. He currently works as Senior Research Fellow (Ramon & Cajal) in the Department of Biomedicine, Biotechnology and Public Health at the University of Cadiz, where he teaches biostatistics, quantitative methods, multivariate data analysis, and public health. His main research interests are related to social and health data science, research methodology, social and health systems, social determinants of health, social inequalities in (mental) health and suicide, health behaviours and health sociology. He currently leads the DEMMOCAD project focused on the study of social inequalities in multimorbidity and the DCODES project which is centred on the study of health misinformation in social media.
