Giovanni Carrosio teaches Sustainability and Eco-social Change, and Network Systems, Territory and Development, at the University of Trieste. He is Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of the Luciano Fonda University College and Head of the social sciences area of the special project Trieste Laboratory on Quantitative Sustainability entrusted by Mur to the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS). His research interests focus on environmental problems and local development. In particular, he studies the social and territorial dimensions of the energy transition and the problems linked to the environmental crisis, the dynamics of development and policies aimed at marginal and fragile areas. He is a member of the coordination of the Forum on Inequality and Diversity.
