Avilia ZAVARELLA
Avilia Zavarella is an early career European and international affairs professional and interdisciplinary researcher, with a passion for promoting development, security and positive social change. She holds a BA in European Politics (King’s College London) and an MSc in International Social and Public Policy for Development (LSE), and she is currently pursuing an Erasmus Mundus MA in Global Studies. She has 2+ years’ experience working in policy research and analysis for public and third sector organisations across Europe, her research having so-far resulted in 11 published collaborative reports spanning a range of policy areas – from EU development cooperation to the EU Green Transition. Her most recent professional research focus has been on analysing the socio-economic impact of digital transition provisions of EU National Recovery Plans, while her MA academic research has focused on evaluating the impact of Chinese public diplomacy operations on public opinion in Sub-Saharan Africa.
