During the 16th YES (Young European Socialists) Congress in Barcelona, FEPS delivered a training session to the YES Bureau on how to write policy papers to increase their influence on policy-making. This training was facilitated by Ania Skrzypek, Director for Research and Training at FEPS, and aimed to both inspire and inform the YES Bureau members.

FEPS also co-organised an agora with our partners, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Oficina Madrid, Fundació Rafael Campalans, Fundación Felipe González, and Fundación Pablo Iglesias. The topic of discussion was dreaming transformations, from utopia to public administration, and how to translate youth aspirations into real politics and public administration.

The agora discussed the question of how to provide adequate translation of bold ideas into a unifying proposal for the progressive parties, to help them build coalitions and become lasting, successful policies.

Among the speakers

  • Ania Skrzypek, Director for Research and Training at FEPS
  • María Luisa Carcedo, President of Fundación Pablo Iglesias
  • Rocío Martínez-Sampere, Director of Fundación Felipe González
  • Luise Rürup, Head of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Madrid.
  • Albert Dalmau, Municipal Manager of Barcelona City Council
