17 March 2022, 19:00 – 20:30

On 17 March 2022, FEPS, Fondation Jean Jaurès, PES Women and UN Women Germany joined forces in order to bring forward a new social contract to the climate emergency rooted in ecofeminist values.

In an effort to overcome the gender-blind approach, the final aim was to explore progressive answers paving the way towards a truly feminist climate justice approach.

This event took place in the broader context of the 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Its priority theme is achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes.

About the CSW:

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women and represents a functional commission of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of which FEPS is a consultative body.
